Dancing with My Skeleton
With apologies to Billy Idol and Generation X
On the floors of Tokyo
Or down in London town to go, go
With movement selection and some inner reflection
I’m dancing with my skeleton
When there’s no one else in sight
I can make everything alright
When I’m dancing with my skeleton
Dancing with my skeleton
Dancing with my skeleton
When there’s nothing to lose and there’s nothing to prove
Well, I’m dancing with my skeleton
If I looked all over the world
And gave every exercise a whirl
Maybe I pass them by
To go dancing with my skeleton
So let’s sink on the ground
And do another round
If I had the chance, I’d ask the world to dance
And I’d be dancing with my skeleton
Once we've had the pleasure of 'grounding' more comfortably, why not develop this emerging sense of lightness and ease, and imagine ourselves dancing? A Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement® lesson can free us from habitual holding patterns as we learn to move with more confidence. With a clarity through your skeleton, less tension in your musculature, a more balanced sense of self arrives, spontaneously inviting you to embody your life. Join us here at S3NSE.org for classes, workshops and individual lessons.
